If I were praying right now, here is what the prayer would be.
Lord, teach me to be grateful.
For my family.
For my friends.
For my health.
For my job.
For my home.
For this very blog and the many opportunities it affords.
Teach me to throw out the jealousy that creeps in regarding all of the above, and replace it with love and encouragement.
Teach me to not focus solely on the numbers. But on the impact.
Quality over quantity.
Lord, teach me to be patient.
With those whom I love.
With my life.
Teach me to trust that if I work, good things will happen.
There is a time for everything.
Lord, teach me to be an uplifter.
To find the good in others and celebrate it.
Lord, teach me to be still.
To be in the moment.
Not planning my to-do list.
Not wondering what of these events I should share on social media.
To enjoy time with friends and family.
Lord, teach me to prioritize.
To be productive, not busy.
To unscramble these thoughts so a purpose becomes clear.
To be ever moving towards my goals and dreams.
Not running in circles around things that don’t matter.
Lord, teach me to be happy.
To actually feel good in my heart on a daily basis.
To recognize all of my feelings as valid, but to pull out the most positive and dwell on those.
Lord, help me to have faith.
That even in my darkest moments, I can push through.
That even when I feel all alone, there is always someone there who cares.
Teach me perspective. This too shall pass.
Note: Everything is alright over here. Just battling some inner demons this weekend. It happens, right? I want to let everyone know that life isn’t always peachy keen over here..sometimes it’s a daily battle to focus on the good, but that’s okay. Writing this out helps me and hopefully others cope with these issues. Writing is pretty awesome like that.
Speaking of which, I will be writing about my writing process (ha) later this week. I am planning on doing a link-up in case others want to answer the questions as well.
2) How does my work/writing differ from others of its genre?
3) Why do I write what I do?
4) How does my writing process work?
You can answer one or all of them to link-up!
Can you relate to any of this?
What is one quality you love about yourself? I think my best quality is empathy, although it can also be my worst as I let others’ problems get to me emotionally.
