Hello Friends!
I don't know about you, but my weekend went by with a big whoosh!Thursday night, late late at night, Dave (the BF)'s dear grandmother passed away. She was 99 years old and lived a long and feisty life. I only knew her from visiting her in the nursing home and she was pretty well medicated because as I said, she was a feisty lady. She tried breaking out of there on more than one occasion and once she even hit a lady with her cane. She was loved dearly though. From all of the stories I've heard, I really wish I had known her before she went into the nursing home.
Saturday morning was spent feverishly attempting to get Monday off from both of my jobs as the funeral was today and out of town. By about 2pm I finished the call with my wing-n-beer job where my boss let me know my shift was now covered. *sigh* Good thing because I was leaving town in a couple of hours and had all of my bags packed.
We did make a fun stop along the way to the farm (where Dave's family is from).
We had the opportunity to meet with my former roomie, Sarah, and her husband, Sean, who are currently living in London, at a restaurant called Braeda!

We got to the farm at about midnight on Saturday and it's been busy ever since. Although it's a sad reason to gather, it was nice to meet a part of the family I wasn't acquainted with before. Dave and I also had some time to go for a hike around the farm and I also did a little run around the fields, but more on that later.
It's time to head back to the city and back to the real world for a couple of days...before we come back for a wedding this weekend. I tell ya...life is crazy sometimes.
I hope you all are having a great Monday!

Sorry to hear about your BF's g-ma. She sounds like she lead a pretty awesome life. I love the pic you chose of her! My granny was pretty fiesty herself. ;)
PS I didn't realize your BF was a member of the red-bearded man club too. Mark's red ... and salt and peppery. ;)
Thanks so much Calee!
I can't wait to tell Dave about the bearded comment hahaha!
