Superb Biscottis (or twice-baked cookies)..perfect breakfast, snack, or pre-workout food!

Hello there,

I love biscottis or biscuit-ys as my Daddio calls them.  I first discovered them at a funky coffee shop that I used to frequent in high school.  They are perfect to dip in your coffee, tea or even eat as you are typing a blog post...

I used a recipe that I found on kraft.com but I modified it slightly.


Seriously these were so delicious that I have eaten 5 of them today and the BF ate about 6 yesterday while they were cooling and then another one after we got back from dinner!

Jason's Deli *Date*

Good evening,

I always take pics of my food nowadays...anyone with me?  But then I have so many pictures and not enough time to share and blog about em..so here's a quick look at my dinner date last night...

Me and the BF were out running errands and the plan was to make some of my delish pizza with vegetables but alas we got hungry and had to stop somewhere to eat.

We chose Jason's Deli.  I'm not sure if you have one in your area, but it is worth it to check it out!  Lot's of fun, creative and delicious foods to choose from.



The BF chose to have a Ranchero Wrap... and a HUGE bowl of soup.  For some reason he thought the bowl was the smaller choice compared to a cup of soup...something about how at the country club he used to work at the bowl was the smaller one...whatever it was just hilarious because the soup was bigger than the wrap!

the last time I tried to get into training for a race..I hurt my back at work and had to do physical therapy for a couple of months.

And I was actually getting really into it!

Hurt myself April 18th and I was told I couldn't run for awhile and therefore couldn't run the race I paid for (3 months ago today!!)
Then the blog turned into more of a food blog..  (Not a bad thing eh?)


Recently I actually tried  to get back into running on the fourth of july and I irritated a cyst/some cysts in my ovary (thought it was just cramps or a stitch in my side from not having run for a long time...) and it ruptured the next day...TMI?  Well, just sayin that I have been a little leery of starting on the journey of running again.

Hey Bloggies,

Just wanted to share a quick few pics because I have to get to beddy-bye soon.  I work at the Farmer's Market and have to be to the coffee catering office at SIX IN THE MORNING.  :-)

I have been wanting to try chia seeds in my foods because I am seeing them in a lot of healthy foodie recipes nowdays.


 My thoughtful BF remembered this *aww* and got me a bag!  Since there are no nutrition facts on the bag, I decided to do a little google research on these guys.

Chocolate {Crinkle} *Cookie-Brownie*

Good evening,

I was going to get to bed early tonight BUT I remembered I had laundry to do for work tomorrow!  Don't ya hate it when that happens??  Now I have about an hour to kill so, as requested, I am going to post the recipe for the cookies I made yesterday!

I was blog stalking searching and I found a recipe for some delightful looking Chocolate Crinkles.  I found them on the blog Finding Joy in my Kitchen.   This sweet gal has been blogging a few years so she has TONS of recipes to look through.  (Her recipe was adapted from Betty Crocker.)
